As I was analyzing the company's website statistics the other day I noticed an anomalous trend with MSN Search referrers to the site: They were roughly 5 to 10 times less on the weekends. Today I finally figured out why. I attach the following pictures to illustrate that

  1. MSN Search is totally and utterly dependent on the default search page of Internet Explorer,
  2. Windows NT and 2000 are totally and utterly dependent on corporations, and
  3. My skills as an SEO have increased referrals dramatically (120% over when I started in January)
All statistics range from 3/27 to 4/26.
Windows XP hits Windows XP hits
Windows 2000 hits Windows 2000 hits
Windows NT hits Windows NT hits

Yahoo hits Yahoo hits
Google hits Google hits
MSN Search hits MSN Search hits

Finally, for you Firefox aficionados, here are the Firefox vs Internet Explorer stats for the period. Firefox user percentage has increased from 1.3% in January to 2.7% in April.

All the great graphs are a small subset of those produced by the *awesome* access_log analyzer Summary.Net. Since it runs on Windows, MacOS, and Linux, you should really try it today.
