O wow!!

OK. So I bought a new harddrive today from Fry's. A 250GB SATA. When I plugged it in, it wouldn't boot; go figure, Fry's sucks. Then the harddrive that stopped working May 2003 that's been in my computer ever since just decided to ... work. I'm muttering about for the last hour finding nothing but *knowing* this — like every thing — is no coincidence. Then I find it: The entire October Sky OST!

Crefn once said one of her favorite songs was on that OST. Yet it was so rare online I only found one song, the end titles, and she said that was not it. And here it has been...the entire long-sought OST, on my should-be-dead harddrive all along :o Still, I loved that song and played it fairly regularly from ~August 2003 till it was lost in the Great Shuffle of late 2003. This harddrive suffered horribly in that shuffle and hadn't worked since either.

I still don't know what to make of this, but am resolute in my resolve not to send my valuable psychic energy into an otherwise-unreciprocated bit bucket :-/ I just find it more than ironic that a song I spent a good 2 months looking for was alrady on my harddrive, put on there by myself when I ripping Curtis Youngberg's music while he was on a mission to Tucson :-)

I also found one of my all-time favorite songs :-) Lo Fidelity Allstars — Pony Pressure.

I shall meditate on this thoroughly while looking for more.
